February 2018

• Annual General Membership Meeting John Heinz (APWA) and Peter Kolb (former LCPW Director) were recognized as the founding members of the DRWW.
• Mike Reynolds and Bryan Beitzel of Buffalo Grove Public Works were awarded for reducing de-icing salt use.

August 2018

• LCDOT received the National Snow and Ice Removal Award from the APWA for their efforts in the sustainable use of road salt at the General Membership Meeting.

February 2020

• At the General Membership Meeting, DRWW recognized their President, Brian Dorn, to thank him for his years of service as he enters retirement.

June 2022

• Al Giertych was recognized for his years of service at the Lake County Department of Transportation (LCDOT), the North Branch Chicago River Watershed Workgroup and the Des Plaines River Watershed Workgroup.
